In Bigg Boss You Expose Yourself : Salman Khan.

Salman Khan may not have had a movie release in 2013, but the Dabangg Khan is all set to rule the small screen yet again with the new season of Bigg Boss.

At the launch of the seventh season of Bigg Boss, we spent a few minutes with Salman Khan to find out more about what makes the show special.

As revealed in the promos and poster, Salman Khan plays a dual role this time and will be seen as an angel as well as a devil.

Way back in 1997, Salman Khan had done a double-role in Judwaa, where one was a rowdy while the other was the quieter one. Salman however clarifies that his Bigg Boss act is not on those lines.

“It’s a double-role as such in that sense. I am representing two sides - Good and bad, something that is present in all of us. I don’t know how they thought about this. But the creators have come up with something that is part of our every day lives”.

Salman Khan says the kind of circumstances that the contestants are put through, are bound to bring out the positive and negative aspects of a person’s personality.

“In this show you put so many people in a house, in a situation where they lose track of time and place. You have to sleep near each other, share your bathroom, and basically share your personal life with the entire world. Right from brushing your teeth, you expose yourself 24x7. So sometimes one gets to see things, which may not be so nice. And that’s not because it’s been manufactured or produced…’Koi fight jaan boochke nahi hoti’. But that house is their family for three months and while it is not our job to peek into anyone’s house, they have given us the permission to do so”.

He adds, “They may not live in a conventional setup where there are parents and dada-dadi in the house, but it is a family and their problems are shared on TV. And like any house, the fights germinate from the smallest of things. By watching this on TV, we get to learn a lot about dealing with day-to-day situations. Also the way the common man reacts to them as a viewer, tells us about how society thinks today”.

Khan says that while it is not his job to interfere in the house and what’s happening inside, his fans take his presence very seriously, so when things go out of hand (like the Sky episode; whose behaviour with Sanjay Dutt he says, really made him angry) he has to set it right. "When things reach me via my fans I have to put an end to them".

Salman also reveals that his mother is a fan of the show.

“For her it is entertainment. My Mom watches a lot of TV including Bigg Boss. But she does switch off from the show occasionally when it gets too much. When people are fighting for their rights it is OK. But she does not like to see people fighting for no rhyme or reason just to make someone else's life miserable”.

Speaking on the kind of behavior that upsets him, Salman says, “In our house too we have arguments. But we are never disrespectful, either to elders or to youngsters in our conversation. We have a large family and we do not want to teach the kids rubbish. I am personally not OK with using abusive language. Children are exposed to so much on the Internet, that we all have a responsibility when something is on TV”.
