Salman Khan never too busy for kids

He may not have much time away from the sets of his next film, 'Jai Ho', but Salman Khan surely knows how to make up for lost time. The star apparently took some time off to record an audio/visual to express his support to an upcoming film festival, the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India, organised by the Children’s Film Society India (CFSI).

Salman is hugely popular with his young fans and is also known to do charitable work for organisation supporting the welfare of children. Sources say that the representatives of the festival approached Salman, requesting him to lend his support to the event in any form.

Says an insider, “But since the actor is busy shooting for Jai Ho, his team conveyed the message of his absence to the organisers. However, to compensate for his absence, Salman recorded an A/V for the festival, also known as The Golden Elephant, and even promoted it on his social networking pages.” The festival that will kick start on November 14 will see over 1.5 lakh child delegates from across the nation attending the festival.
